🐕 What Is a Pack Walk? | BondingWithK9s 🐾
A pack walk is a structured group walk where dogs and their owners walk together while practicing calm behavior, leash manners, focus, and confidence around other dogs.
Unlike a dog park, a pack walk doesn’t require dogs to greet, play with, or interact directly with one another. Instead, dogs learn to coexist peacefully, respect personal space, and remain focused on their handlers while walking around other dogs.
🐾 Benefits of a Pack Walk:
Builds confidence around other dogs.
Improves leash manners and impulse control.
Encourages calm behavior in stimulating environments.
Strengthens the bond between dogs and their owners.
Helps dogs practice neutrality around other dogs.
Provides a controlled opportunity to work on training around distractions.
Remember: Socialization isn’t about meeting every dog. It’s about learning how to remain calm, confident, and comfortable around them!
